Sarah Hammernik is an associate attorney at the firm. Her practice focuses on probate litigation, elder law litigation, trust administration, estate administration, guardianships, and conservatorships.
Sarah is steadfast in her commitment to obtaining the best outcome for her clients. She understands that the legal system can feel overwhelming and intimidating to those who have never encountered it and aims to provide guidance and support to her clients through every step of the process. She is warm, genuine, and patient with her clients and colleagues.
Prior to joining Wade Ash LLC, Sarah worked in the field of criminal law as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. Her time in the criminal law world provided her with considerable courtroom experience and a unique and balanced perspective in her legal practice. Sarah is a strong communicator, a dedicated advocate, and a skilled negotiator.
Sarah earned her law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2018. During law school, she earned a Fellowship with the Oregon Child Advocacy Project; conducting research, working on legislative proposals, and orchestrating networking events aimed at bringing about legal change to protect children’s interests. She also worked as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence in Eugene, Oregon.
Sarah’s Jesuit education fuels her desire to stand in solidarity with those going through challenging experiences. She strives to live by the Jesuit value of “Men and Women for Others,” and consistently works to “put herself in [her clients] shoes,” to provide the kind of advocacy she would want from a law firm.
Sarah was born and raised in Parker, Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys baking, camping, and taking walks with her husband.
