Zachary D. Schlichting


Zachary D. Schlichting was born in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Temple University (B.A. 2004) and the University of Colorado Law School (J.D. 2008). He is admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado, and all Colorado State Courts. Mr. Schlichting worked for nearly ten years with the Public Administrator and Deputy Public Administrator for the City and County of Denver, where he investigated and litigated actions involving the alleged exploitation of at-risk elders; actions involving alleged breaches of fiduciary duty by conservators, personal representatives, and trustees; and actions involving contested deeds, wills, and trusts. Mr. Schlichting also handled conservatorships, decedent’s estates, and trust administrations. Mr. Schlichting is active in the Colorado Bar Association, where he currently serves on the Executive Council of the Trust & Estate Section. He has authored and co-authored a number of works, including a chapter on conservatorships in Colorado Methods of Practice, and a chapter on decedent’s estate administration in Elder Law in Colorado. His current practice focuses on estate and trust litigation, contested conservatorships and guardianships, estate and trust administration, and estate planning.
