The firm was founded in 1982 by Colorado
lawyers having years of experience in
these areas. We continue to represent
individuals, families, charities,
executors, trustees and other
fiduciaries, and serve as consultants to
other lawyers in the firm's specialized
areas of practice. Members of the firm
also serve as consultants and expert
witnesses on complex issues.
Members of the firm are also active in
the American College of Trust and Estate
Counsel ("ACTEC"), The American Law
Institute ("ALI"), The National College
of Probate Judges ("NCPJ"), the National
Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
("NAELA"), the Trust & Estate Section of
the Colorado Bar Association, and the
Real Property, Trust and Estate Law
Section of the American Bar Association.
All of the firm's shareholders are
listed in the Trusts and Estates section
of The Best Lawyers in America and are
recognized as Colorado Super Lawyers.
All have written and spoken extensively
in the firm's specialized fields, and
are frequent speakers at Trust & Estate
Continuing Legal Education seminars. All
lawyers in the firm are members of the
Trust & Estate Section of the Colorado
Bar Association and several have chaired
the Section. Others are members of the
American Bar Association Real Property
Trust and Estate Law section.
The Firm is also a charter member of the
International Network of Boutique Law
Firms ("INBLF"). The INBLF is an
organization of specialty firms that
